Job Purpose: To design and implement Knowledge Management (KM) systems throughout ZADCO. To
formulate KM plans, develop KM processes, procedures and practices. To identify, create,
represent, and facilitate the adoption of KM initiatives, insights and experiences embodied in
individuals and in organization leading to ZADCO Business Performance enhancement.

Accountabilities:•Champion the organization-wide knowledge sharing to ensure that the organization
know-how, information and experience is shared inside and, where possible and appropriate, outside
the organization with suppliers, consultants, partners, and Shareholders. •Promote knowledge
sharing through the organization's operational business processes and systems by, among others,
strengthening links between knowledge sharing and the information systems, and improving integration
among information systems to facilitate seamless exchange of knowledge across ZADCO.•Establish
ZADCO Communities of Professional Practices (COPs) for Subsurface Engineering, Surface Engineering,
Geosciences, and other disciplines as relevant for upstream Oil & Gas Industry. Facilitate smooth
functioning of the COPs towards ensuring effective knowledge transfer from subject matter experts to
less experienced staff within ZADCO. Share experiences across (COPs), business units, and networks
knowledge sharing, including preparation of case studies. Provide continuous support for the
functioning of the (COPs), including workshops, one-on-one guidance.•Promote collaborative KM
tools such as “Activity Rooms”, to facilitate sharing of ideas and work among internal teams
and external partners, “White Pages”, to increase the knowledge and awareness of staff skills
and expertise pan company, ‘In Touch”’ to ensure that experience and knowledge can be
effectively transferred and encourage contact with those experts in specific disciplines to
discuss/address relevant issues. •Roll out various KM tools and processes and assess their
effectiveness such as cross-project learning, after action reviews, best practice transfer, advanced
technology transfer, collaborative technologies and knowledge repositories. •Develop a rewards
system to encourage and recognize Knowledge Sharing initiatives, leadership, active participation
and innovation.•Disseminate information about the organization's knowledge sharing program to
internal and external audiences, including organizing knowledge sharing events (such as knowledge
fairs, site visits, interviews). Conduct workshops, make presentations and prepare material to raise
awareness of KM . Maintain communications on knowledge sharing across the organization,
participation in orientation and training sessions, and preparation of
brochures/presentations.•Monitor international Knowledge Management (KM) best practice. Monitor
and evaluate the knowledge sharing program, including external benchmarking and evaluation
programs/opportunities. •Monitor the benefits achieved from KM initiatives and continually strive
to improve the effectiveness of KM.•Provide input to ZADCO submission document for SKEA (Shaikh
Khalifa Excellence Award) or other similar award. •Identify, preserve and safeguard intellectual
capital created at ZADCO Work Contacts:All levels of ZADCO personnel up to CEO Independence of
Operations and Decision-making Authority: Work within overall framework and guidelines provided by
the Management and own Department. Responsible for implementing and facilitating plans and
approaches for achieving effective Knowledge Management.•Degree in Business Management or related
area of study, preferably Masters Degree level in Information Technology, Engineering Systems or
Business Management with emphasis on Knowledge Management Systems or /and Artificial Intelligence
Systems.•Exposure to multidisciplinary knowledge, experience in IT applications and exposed to
knowledge management software used in oil industry. •Sound knowledge and understanding of
knowledge management, change management techniques and business factors relevant to upstream oil
industry. •Minimum 10 years of experience with the organizations operations and business tools,
out of which at-least 5 years experience in developing and delivering knowledge sharing programs in
oil industry.•Experience in establishing effective partnerships within and outside the
organization•Proficient in English, and superior communication, facilitation and interpersonal
skills in multicultural and multinational work environment.10 - 28 yearsBasic - Bachelor of Science
