To contribute in developing professional standards and targets for P-12 public/private school and

teacher licensing.
 Support the design and communication of professional standards and

guidelines whilst ensuring international equivalence required for P-12 schools and teachers in the

Emirate in accordance with the Ministry’s strategy, rules and regulations;
 Assist in

designing school staff development criteria and targets and develop continuous education programs,

as well as school staff accreditation, qualification and re-qualification programs;
 Help

build relationships with universities and other entities in order to set and implement sound

professional standards and guidelines;
 Support communication of professional standards and

guidelines to Professional Licensing Section and other stakeholders to support their effective

implementation;
 Develop assessment system for accreditation, creating a rating system for

programs and schools, that makes the process of accreditation, clearer and more

effective;
 Monitor changes to professional standards at the federal level and adjust

requirements accordingly for the Emirate.
