To contribute in developing professional standards and targets for P-12 public/private school and

teacher licensing with a particular focus on teacher/school staff accreditation

requirements.
 Support the design and communication of school staff development criteria and

teacher and school accreditation, qualification and (re)qualification programs and processes;

whilst ensuring international equivalence required for P-12 schools and teachers in the Emirate in

accordance with the Ministry’s strategy, rules and regulations;
 Help build

relationships with universities and other entities in order to set and implement sound training and

development programs/policies within the broader suite of professional standards;
 Support

communication of professional standards and guidelines to Professional Licensing Section (with a

particular focus on professional training and development aspects) and other stakeholders to support

their effective implementation;
 Develop assessment system for accreditation, creating a

rating system for programs and schools, that makes the process of accreditation, clearer and more

effective;
 Monitor changes to professional standards at the federal level and adjust

requirements accordingly for the Emirate.
